
KAPYAD, NOVEMBER MEETING HELD IN CAPPADOCIA

The Cappadocia Area Tourism Investors Association (KAPYAD) held its November meeting on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, hosted by Ali Yavuz and Murat Yavuz at Zemi Hotel.
During the meeting, members evaluated several key topics shaping the future of tourism in the region.
The agenda focused on the upcoming TGA Representative Election, the new NEVÜ cooperation protocol, the Cappadocia Human Resources Platform presentation, and social responsibility initiatives carried out within the scope of the "Year of the Family" Project.
1. TGA Representative Election on 21 December & Joint Candidate: Murat Yavuz
The meeting opened with a briefing on Murat Yavuz, the joint candidate agreed upon in coordination with other tourism associations in the region.
Members were informed about the election process, ongoing consultations with industry stakeholders, and efforts to strengthen regional representation within the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA).
The joint candidacy model was highlighted as an important step towards enhancing unity and collective representation in Cappadocia tourism.
2. Cooperation Protocol with NEVÜ: "Tourism Student Development Program"
An update was shared on the recently signed cooperation protocol between KAPYAD and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ), aimed at strengthening collaboration between academia and the tourism sector. The protocol is designed to:
- Provide Tourism Faculty students with internship opportunities at KAPYAD member establishments,
- Expand practical training, project development and career guidance activities,
- Enhance the quality of human resources in Cappadocia's tourism sector.
Members were briefed on the scope of the protocol and its implementation plan for the 2026 academic year.
3. Cappadocia Human Resources Platform Presentation
A detailed presentation was delivered by Taylan Kapucu, the founder of the Cappadocia Human Resources Platform. The presentation addressed:
- Workforce needs within the regional tourism sector,
- Recruitment of qualified personnel,
- Training and professional development programs,
- The goal of establishing a regional human resources pool.
KAPYAD members discussed the platform's potential contributions to the sector and evaluated possible cooperation opportunities.
4. Social Responsibility Activities within the Scope of Nevşehir Governorate's "Year of the Family" Project
The final item on the agenda was the evaluation of social responsibility initiatives carried out within the scope of the "Year of the Family" Project led by the Nevşehir Governorate.
Members discussed opportunities for KAPYAD to support activities designed for orphaned and vulnerable children, and explored models of collaboration that tourism businesses in the region could contribute to.
The 19 November meeting played an important role in addressing both sectoral and social topics that directly influence the future of tourism in Cappadocia.
KAPYAD will continue to strengthen regional cooperation, invest in human resources and lead the region's sustainable tourism vision—just as it has throughout 2025.
